Summer in the Rockies is firing up, and for those of us in the visual arts realm that means getting out and reveling in the seasonal ephemera. From road-tripping around the Crazies with talented singer/songwriter, Jesse Macht, to peeking into the rural studio of Northern New Mexico ceramic artist Lisa Jensen, summer is the time to “make hay” meaning get out and shoot, for the season is fleeting.
Welcome to the first edition of Artifact, Appetite & Aperture, an ambling chronicle that wanders throughout the American West and toward the sunset, wherever that may be.
